NSS programs are structured to provide nutritious food to vulnerable populations from an empowering standpoint. Our programs provide greater autonomy and choice for the people we assist.
Food + Community
The focus of NSS is distributing food assistance packages to immobile elderly/disabled populations in the Greater New Haven, CT area who cannot shop for the food they need. We deliver customized food packages chosen by our clients by using our online “client choice” pantry system.
COVID support
Under the COVID pandemic conditions, NSS continues its usual nutrition security programs – providing reliable service during fluctuating food supplies, giving a “hand up” not just a “hand out”.
